This documentation presupposes knowledge about PDF technical terms and structure.
Removal of crop marks
To automatically remove crop marks, the document must:
- Have a CropBox on each page.
- The CropBoxes must be identical on each page.
- Have a TrimBox on each page.
- The Trimboxes must be smaller than the Cropbox and contained in it.
- The TrimBoxes must be identical on each page.
Presence of a BleedBox is optional.
The page will be cropped to the TrimBox, and as a consequence, nothing outside of the TrimBox will be kept.
Addition of crop marks
To add crop marks, the document must :
- Either have no visible crop mark, in which case the entire original page will become the TrimBox of the printable document.
- Or be valid for the removal of crop marks.
